Strange, speed test is working for everyone else by the looks of it!

Tried a different proxy?

Could it be because I am still on 600k whilst the test is for 750k?

I can do a speed test on 300k!

Try these speed tests:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...speedtest.html

http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net/

Also, it may be worth giving your modem a reboot, even though the postcode checker says you won't be upgraded 'till September (it told me November, yet after a reboot, I'm now on 1.5mb).

:)

My speed has been increased now in Norwich by the looks of things.

Did need a re-boot of the STB to kick it in though.

Not really. The options in the list are just there for you to choose the correct speed you are on. Eg, if you choose 150k, it will only test with a small file, but if you choose 1.5mb, it will test with a bigger file.

Does the 1.5mb test work? Have you tried deleting temp. internet files etc?

Just upgraded from 750K service to 1.5Mb service. Autoregister reports :

You are now subscribed to ntl: 1 Mbps Broadband Internet Service at 34.99 per month.

I'm not concerned about the 1Mbps bit, since I've already confirmed I'm now on 1.5, but £34.99? Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy?

Right, I cleared the temp. internet files and the speed check doesn't work for 750k and 1.5Mb, only works for 300k.

Would my router with built-in firewall cause a problem?

Have been using the Robin Walker speed test which works fine.

If you were on the 150K service then yes (ish). The final column (where it says approx 284 kbits/sec on the first row) should indicate the speed your connection is running it. It should be about 300kbits/sec for the old 150K service.
