Red -
Try these speed tests: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...speedtest.html http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net/ Also, it may be worth giving your modem a reboot, even though the postcode checker says you won't be upgraded 'till September (it told me November, yet after a reboot, I'm now on 1.5mb). |
Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades
:)
My speed has been increased now in Norwich by the looks of things. Did need a re-boot of the STB to kick it in though. Sun, 8 Aug 2004 17:24:23 UTC 1st 128K took 1453 ms = 90208 Bytes/sec = approx 751 kbits/sec 2nd 128K took 1469 ms = 89225 Bytes/sec = approx 742 kbits/sec 3rd 128K took 1453 ms = 90208 Bytes/sec = approx 751 kbits/sec 4th 128K took 1453 ms = 90208 Bytes/sec = approx 751 kbits/sec |

Whyme38, have you tried rebooting your CM/STB? I've got it here in LS12

Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades
Just upgraded from 750K service to 1.5Mb service. Autoregister reports :
You are now subscribed to ntl: 1 Mbps Broadband Internet Service at 34.99 per month. I'm not concerned about the 1Mbps bit, since I've already confirmed I'm now on 1.5, but £34.99? Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy? |

Would my router with built-in firewall cause a problem? Have been using the Robin Walker speed test which works fine. |
