Cable Forum - The Happy Thought Thread

A couple of happy thoughts....

First one, my god-son got his results yesterday, and he got a First in Maths (Birmingham University) - he was bricking it, as his job offer was dependent on at least a 2.1.

Second happy thought - I finish a Fixed Term Contract (two and a half years) at the end of this month, and I will take a month or two off whilst I decide what to do next, so looking forward to a relaxing summer (I have been working 60 hour weeks for the last eighteen months, which is why I didn't take up their offer of another year's FTC).

What an excellent result your son got Hugh, you must be so very proud of him.

Enjoy the summer months Hugh, you deserve some time off after working 60 hours for the last 18 months.

Well done Stuart - exams are always good to see the back of.

Great news for you too Hugh - we need more mathematicians so very well done to him.
Now you'll be having a well deserved rest, do we take it you'll be keeping an eye on us a bit more? ;)

As Hugh will no longer be sat at his desk for 60 hrs a week twiddling his thumbs we shall probably see a lot less of him over the next couple of months. :D

Well my partner and l are going up to our parents place in Hampshire a week on Saturday to be with them and my brother and sister so we are looking forward to that and one of my other brothers is staying at our place to keep a eye on things as well so all in all we are pretty happy as we will be away for 3 weeks.:)

l have just looked at the map dilli and l cannot believe you are over 100 miles further up the line as l thought the two were much closer actually.
