Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4

My happy thought today is the staff at Monklands hospital who were very nice to my Mum and even allowed me to go in with her while she got her bone marrow biopsy done. My Mum said it was not as bad as she had expected it to be and the staff were so nice to her and me I cannot praise them enough they even gave me a cuppa and a biscuit along with my Mum afterwards. I was so impressed by the way they handled my Mothers fears I got them a wee box of chocolates just to say thanks although it really does not seem enough. I can honestly say they were brilliant with my Mum. I also thought my Mum was a complete star today and I'm so very proud of her :) to go back next Friday for the results.

Glad to hear the biopsy is over and done with and that the staff made you both feel comfortable weenie. Fingers crossed that the results next week explain what is wrong with your Mum.

Oh and did you Mum like her pressie? :)

@ Jo I just ordered the perfume last night from Superdrug so hoping I will get it for Friday and will take it over to her then as I always make her Caramel Shortbread every Friday.

@ Osem it's funny how my Mum keep saying that she doesn't know what she would do without me but really when she is saying it, I'm thinking exactly the same thing as I really don't know what I would do without her.

Well, it is a day trip to Portsmouth for me in a couple of weeks, relative bought a voucher which gives 2 tickets for a year, but need to be validated by July. So going in a couple of weeks, and if my mum and stepdad agree, possibly taking my sister as well as a treat for finishing her GCSE exams. Oops, should say to the Dockyard in Portsmouth.

Gas (£78) and lecky (£116) just paid for the quarter ending mid May. Not too bad considering. Gas varies with the season as it's our prime heating in the house whereas lecky is mostly oven, kettle and tech toys.
