Since when do we get any advance notice of anything on VM? :D

Fair point.

The new HD tranmission format of Pick is on VirginMedia now - this version carries the PICK dog. The full SD version does NOT carry the dog and is only on Sky and Freesat.

Apart from the football - every programme seems to be upscaled to HD and not HD source which may explain the missing HD in the channel name.

There is a DOG showing on both the SD and HD versions of Pick on Sky & Freesat. VM has had the HD feed since Thursday.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Before the football the 'non-football' feed had the dog removed.

It is only Sky and Freesat which have the non-football version.

Yes so DOGs everywhere now. Sky don't have the non football version on the UK EPG, though they do of course have Pick +1 without football.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Sky have got the Pick with HD football version and Pick (in SD) with the football. They are now putting HD flags on some programmes on the new version.

So tomorrow evening (Wed 6.25pm) there is Live Serie A football on .... BoxNation. (Is missing on TiVo as I type)

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Why was this not unblocked for Premier Sports subscribers?

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Boxnation should be in with Premier Sports like it is on Sky.

It is also part of the BT package on other platforms. When Virgin Media put the main BT channels as part of the Full House package, which is different from other platforms, they kept Boxnation as a separate subscription channel, and one imagines their deal for the channel is from that time.

I would imagine that the next time the deals are renewed, Virgin will do a deal with Premier to include Boxnation, but that could be a while.

Interesting he says make availability cheaper which will reduce piracy - I do agree with that

However, LUTV fee for games is £10 per game - put up or shut up comes to mind!

Not a chance of them making it cheaper though is it as they know there is a captive and loyal audience who will stump up that.

DAZN is preparing to go global, with a Beta rollout on 24 July. This is going to get interesting.

https://www.digitaltveurope.com/2020...beta-kick-off/

DAZN will resume its international expansion plans on July 24.

While not mentioning an official full release date, DAZN sent an email to users who had registered their interest offering “free early access to the new home of fight sports as a Beta Community tester.”

The company announced an expansion to more than 200 countries and territories at the beginning of March. This rollout was scheduled to take place on May 2, but this was pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, with sports starting to resume around the world, DAZN has decided to go again and pull the trigger on a July 24 beta launch to coincide with the Boxing match between Vergil Ortiz Jr vs Samuel Vargas.
