What a joy it is to see your children happy, after all it's what all parents want for their children (Happy children leads to happy parents) in my book :) Congrats on you scan results Osem.

Yes it sure does and thanks Weenie. :)

Just brought him home from his youth club. He made a really nice black swan out of hama (fuse) beads and is really excited about the weekend. :)

Hi Den. The concert was excellent last night, the musicians were first class most of them play different instuments from Piano, fiddle guitar, flute,s etc,10 of them on the stage at one time, Mark Knopfler himself was great although I did not know many of his songs, as I have only heard him with Emmylou Harris, as a country show, Hotel is good, so we have decided to stay till Monday and do a bit of shopping today, ;) Nash

Happy Thought is im finally moving on Wednesday closer to town, and ill have two rooms in the house upstairs and be able to live independently, which is what ive wanted to do for a long time. Already ordered some furniture and a sofa, just got a fridge freezer to buy and a couple more appliances plus a bookshelf, and im all set. im also going to be cooking my own meals too, so ill be coming here for ideas from a few of our seasoned members (excuse the pun) :)

Best wishes MG. The freezer will be your friend as you can take advantage of BOGOFS and reduced as most stuff can be frozen and for much longer than stated.

You can also cook up batches of stuff like currys and bolognaise, freeze down in individual portions ready to be microwaved up if you're in a hurry. Much better than supermarket ready meals and you know what went into them.

I want to try and get away from convenience food if I can and make as much fresh as I can and freeze it down, ideally make a week or two weeks worth at a time :)

Too true. Not that long ago I found a frozen duck which was several years out of date in the back of one of our freezers. I cooked it nonetheless and it was fine. Bulk buying/cooking then freezing can save you a fortune and a whole lot of time.

@ Madgamer - hope it goes well for you!

Our youngest got a new tablet for his birthday and in the bundle was a free Chromecast. I'm delighted that I set up without a hitch. My only concern is that it seems to be warm/hot could anyone advice is this normal for this device. It's the Chromecast that is warm/hot any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi Weenie, Sorry to say I only saw one blouse I likes and they never had my size, 14. It was real nice too, We ended sitting a sports bar watching Man United game, The price of drinks here is unbelievable, £2:80 for a can of coke would not like to say the price of a pint or Brandy, However not to worry, We had a nice meal that was very reasonable, ;)
