Jobs for the boys one suspects.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I see an Arsenal old boy is getting plenty of back stretching exercise. :D

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Just home from OT, that was hard going, set off like a train, playing quite well but the ball just wouldn't run for United. Second half was shocking, very poor, tired looking all over the pitch, passes going astray. Apart from DeGea not one single player had a 'good' game. everyone of them misplaced passes or lost possession at one time or another.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
It was a pitiful performance from MU last night and no wonder fans were leaving with a quarter of a hour to go and whether MU fans are happy to put up with LVG turgid tactics in the long run remains open to question as the are used to a different brand of football.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Vardy got his record then. Guess United could still turn it around and win and there'd still be no real losers in terms of the fans.

Draw was a fair result.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
MU still don't convince me old boy.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Yeah I'd have taken a point against the form team. United miss the chance to go top but I guess they'll get another shot down the line. Everyone still has us to play again :D

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
United are not the same, Rooney should be dropped until he finds his firepower again.
Van Gaal doesn't have the same influence on the team that Ferguson had. |

Mourinho, maybe eventually? Ferguson is one of those last managers that was happy to stick at one club and create an unbreakable legacy, there's no SAF's around anymore. You ask most supporters who they'd consider the greatest manager of all time, I'd say Fergie (Newcastle fab) and I don't think many other fans would have any shame saying the same. We're all die hard supporters of our own clubs, but some of us I hope are just infatuated with Football as a whole. Sir Alex and United created some memorable moments in English football, Cristiano Ronaldo and United's run the the Champions League final in which they overcame Chelsea on penalties, just glorious to take in. No quite old enough for 1999 but there's that. Ruud Van Nistlerooy ending Arsenal's unbeaten run. It's not just United, Arsenal's invincible season and the mesmerizing football they used to play, Liverpool in Istanbul and so forth. Point being, I don't think anyone here expects anyone to influence United the way Sir Alex did, he's more than just your average legend nowadays. Sir Alex is literally The Premier League, he was a massive part of creating what it is today. More than any of that though, this solidified my utmost respect for Sir Alex, especially as a Newcastle fan and someone that among many considered the late Sir Bobby Robson as an Idol. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...spiration.html |
