If anyone is interested, the A350 is doing a low fly by with gear down at Broughton on Thursday at 09.45 (approx). If its as good as when the A380 done a fly by it will be good.

I once had an office window that was parallel to the runway at Stansted, we spent an afternoon watch planes trying to land, some coming in almost sideways.

They would disappear behind the building opposite, and some you could here the engines throttle up and reappear and the plane would go around and have another go.

I would SO have liked to work in your office.

Though I'd have probaby got absolutely no work done watching the planes.

That same building has now been returned to it original state and no windows.

My current job I have one very small view to the outside world, and see a tree.

Terrible airport though. Unless you're SAA you just get dumped on the apron and wait for the bus back to the terminal.

Had a visitor in the village today, spoke to the pilot and he didn't even know why they were there as he was just on the usual bond contract

Opps

An investigation is under way after a Southwest Airlines flight landed at the wrong US airport on Sunday.
The Boeing aircraft, carrying 124 passengers and five crew members, should have landed at Branson Airport, Missouri.
Instead, it turned up seven miles away at Taney County Airport, where the runway was half as long.
It is the second time in two months that a large jet has landed at the wrong US airport.
