So no mention of Arsenal winning their 14th FA Cup? I might abuse mod privileges and pin it to the top of every thread. :D

Not that long. Won it in 2014,2015 and 2017 as well. We win them a lot. :cool:

It's annoying actually. It's the first final we've been in since I've had my season ticket so I likely would have been able to be there if it wasn't for COVID.

Yeah not being there for it is disappointing but hopefully you might get a chance to do it sometime in the future.

Lost a lot of its glamour without the fans.

It appears the takeover saga is far from over. The Premier League have yet to receive any notification from Newcastle United that the deal is off. This ties in with the media sources pointing out this is a power play from KSA following Staveleys urging of pressure to be put on the league.

There's now massive pressure after it was alleged the league had made comments about neither passing or rejecting the takeover. The Premier League is yet to issue a denial on this and are under pressure to respond but may yet be forced to undergo an independent investigation.

I said this would get messy really quick, with the news of PSG's owner and FIFA which tie in with Bein being Investigated for corruption and bribery allegations (again) this could well turn out to be a catastrophic own goal by the Premier League if discovered Bein media had an effect on the takeover process.

Football has always had its 'harsh' moments, but the price of success/failure is now measured in unrealistic wealth and how good your solicitors are in court :D

Boris Johnson calls for answers from Premier League regarding the KSA takeover of Newcastle United.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
@BorisJohnson
has today supported calls by the Independent Football Ombudsman asking the
@premierleague
to make a statement regarding the takeover of Newcastle United.

Not often l agree with Boris Johnson but the Premier League have been very unsurprisedly reticent in giving us answers on this failed takeover.

Confirmation from both Mike Ashley and PIF that the deal isn't actually off as such. As much was obvious given the statements made days after but this has all been an attempt to pressure the league.

Mike Ashley is now setting up for legal action against the league for stalling the test which is still in progress but the league have been accused of refusing to provide an answer.

Lastly. An unnamed sponsor to the league has made it's concerns known to the league that it's deeply concerned about the current situation with fans allegedly dragging them into the equation. I've yet to figure out who but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's Barclays with their logo appearing on PL corruption posters.

Why don't you just merge with Gateshead? Obviously you'd have to play under the Gateshead name, at the athletics stadium, and be demoted 5 leagues, but it's cheaper and more entertaining, and more 'real' ;)
