Its great that romance is alive and well even when people reach pensioner age.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I need to go out today and get materials for the wee ones homework. He has to make a 3D Plant Cell Model. I must say I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with as I wouldn't have a clue where to start. It's nice to see him being excited about doing his homework for a change.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Its wonderful that your wee one is so excited about his homework weenie because homework never excited me one jot sadly.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I hated homework when I was at school. Seemed to consist of eternal essays on stupid subjects that ended up covered in teachers' red pen. :(

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
I for one hated school and everything to do with school except for the school holidays, whereas hubby and my eldest son loved school. The wee one is like me and struggles with school although he does try, he would rather have woodwork or anything to do with building. English maths etc he does tend to struggle with although he does enjoy Modern Studies.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Peter has only just really started getting in with school (since he started his options) but he doesn't like doing his homework - but he does it so that's cool.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Had my central heating repair done this morning. Said it would take 2 hours, and it was all done after 1 hour 45 minutes. They cleaned up what little mess had been made, tested the system thoroughly and left once happy. Got to bleed a radiator later, but need to find the key. I know where it is, but so much other rubbish in there that I need to do some digging in the drawer.

Good tradesmen always clear up after themselves. Glad you've got it fixed, perhaps the warm weather will come back now.:)

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
He even set the smoke alarm off whilst using a blow torch to solder a bit of pipe, just as he was leaving he said about it and I said oh don't worry I can put it back myself, he said no I like to leave things as I find them. Then said, well maybe sometimes better than I find it. Which is true after a replacement bit of pipe.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
My happy thought is that my youngest finished his 3D Plant Cell Model and did it all by himself (well with the help of the internet) I'm so proud of him. Hopefully his teacher will be just as pleased with his effort.
