Walcott will get a game at Arsenal. He was back to playing from the midfield late last season and was still playing well. He may not be first on the team sheet as he would be at Liverpool but he'll play a lot.

You've got to offer a carrot for them to sell to a rival and Walcott is that carrot, don't know why you so unhappy at the prospect of losing him Suarez is much better.

The only carrot that needs to be offered is the reported release clause of 40m

Arsenal won't pay forty million plus does the clause define how the cash is to be paid, up front in one lump will put most clubs of.

its all just flexing muscles, calling bluffs and of course differing. i wish they were decisive and completed the deals. the 2 stand out 1s are Higuain 25m and Fellaini 23m = 48m. if Arsenal and Wenger are screwing around over lets say 8m then they seriously need to look at themselves. whats Wenger going to do with 8m? buy another Gervinho! we've had a wage budget that has been wasted for a fair few years now, at least 50/60m WASTED yearly, socialist bullcrap and this incompetent bunch are trying to get out of paying around 8 million. we need Dein back.

From BBC

Chelsea's online shop in the United States has scored a spectacular own goal this week by stocking a $16 Arsenal onesie in its collection of official Blues gear.

I think the own goal was selling "onesie", the fact it was arsenal would actually be good...if a chelsea fan :)

Spot on as Walcott has not really progressed and developed his game from his early days.

Suarez is better but they wouldn't pay in the same positions. I would rather simply strengthen this summer rather than weaken in one area and strengthen another. We've already lost Arshavin and Gervinho may go, not too bad there, but if we lost Walcott then we would need to replace him as suddenly we'll struggle for attacking midfielders/wingers.

Yes he has. Last season and to a lesser extent to the season before he has found some consistency and ability to finish which eluded him in his early days.

Huddlestone is a excellent signing for Sunderland as he is a excellent passer of the ball.

I wouldn't be as high..maybe 1 or 2 years...suspect even Arsenal would not want him after say 8 years.

Though I suspect he will still be biting in a 1m years

There's a further update on Daniele de Rossi as Il Romanista reports that a deal for Chelsea to sign the Roma midfielder is close to being agreed. Chelsea are prepared to pay €11million for De Rossi.

The way it looks to be working is that Higuain is our first choice and if not we'll stump up more for Suarez. The only other club that seem to be serious about Suarez is Real Madrid so if they don't sell us Higuain they probably can't go after Suarez as they've spent a lot already and that would make Arsenal the only realistic prospect for him. Hopefully however Higuain will be sold to us and then Madrid are likely to go for Suarez.
