Am I right in thinking that's an ex-Telewest area fed from the Uddingston headend?

Anyone else in Uddingston who can check whether or not red button works? (Are you out there, Media Boy?)

Thanks MB/Spiderplant, so effectively VM are running a service where potentially some of the Hardware they have out there can't cope with it? If it's not regional or Headend related but seems to be quite common considering only a small % of VM users post/look at Cable Forum...

Is this a case for a replacement box? I have got another HD (newer) upstairs which I will check when I get back to Larky on Friday.

I think it's too early to conclude it's the box at fault. Do other interactive services such as BBC work on it?

Let us know what happens on the other box.

Hi spiderplant, no issues with existing Red Button facility.

I'll check the other box when I return home; cheers again:)

BBC Multiscreen and other red button services work fine. however Sky Sports red button comes on but just keeps freezing on 'Just a moment' EVEN after a reboot. Come on virgin get it sorted.

Have you left feed back on the TV help and support forum? I did yesterday and today it has been fixed on my box http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/TV/bd-p/tv. It has to be worth a try.

Hmmm, the red button worked fine on the cricket last Thursday, now I just get the multiscreen with the 'Just a moment' box in the corner on both digiboxes

EDIT: Rebooted the Samsung and pressed red and after 2 minutes 'Just a moment' disappeared

It seems very tempremental to be honest. It obviously needs ironing out a bit.

I work in an environment where if you put something into 'live' that does not work as anticipated you get mullered.

Is there no User Acceptance Testing out there? I seem to remember the Tivo boxes were given out to a select few..... should it not have been the same for the Red Button?

As indicated on a previous note - I wasn't counting the minutes to the release of the red button - but it's an interesting insight into some Corporate bodies view of what can go to live and when..... Have VM been put under too much pressure to release too soon perhaps?

This is a very valid point. But when all the coding has to be done from scratch they will have decided to do it in bits? I think that it is the same with all software (Release it and then update it).

I stand to be corrected on this but just my thoughts?

When the red button is used for the ucl is it's only purpose for match choice?
