Re: New Speeds - June 1st

Been upgraded to 4Mb.

Mon, 12 Jun 2006 22:12:46 GMT
1st 128K took 359 ms = 365103 Bytes/sec = approx 3038 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 375 ms = 349525 Bytes/sec = approx 2908 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 359 ms = 365103 Bytes/sec = approx 3038 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 375 ms = 349525 Bytes/sec = approx 2908 kbits/sec

I was expecting it to be faster. I've run the test numerous times at different times of the day - doesn't seem to make any difference.

in the pointless forest, maybe, but oblio & arrow proved that you didn't have to have a point, and once that point had been made, we could all move on :)

I think you'll find that only 18.7% of statistics are made up.

Well here in Parkstone (BH14) my Internet just died and came back to life and I was hoping it was 4meg coming along but, alas, still running at 2meg! Oh well

Re: New Speeds - June 1st

Change the misleading thread title to New Speeds July 1st and people might stop asking when they're going to get upgraded.
I don't know why NTL bother announcing these things and putting a deadline in. If they just rolled it out then announced it after the event nobody would be complaining and lots people would think it was a bonus as opposed to an entitlement.
