One would hope for that scenario that is for sure but l think they want us to prepare for the worst case scenario just in case that is the scenario that we end up with.

Does any one believe China has cracked this?, they've been deporting foreign journalists and arresting their own ones.

In China people do as they are told, we don't because we're either thick, or know better, and that's why we're in trouble. We're going the way of Italy I'm afraid if not worse. They at least have locked areas down which we should have done with London a week ago.

They've stopped the spread. But now they need to get back to normality, somehow, without it flaring up again.

If you’re fed up singing "happy birthday" when washing your hands, I’ve made up a couple of alternatives...

As someone who works in a pub, today has been interesting. I look forward to see what the coming weeks/months bring.

Thought CF-er’s might find this amusing.

The 1990’s called, and asked for their technology back...

In this day and age, that’s ridiculous on their part. Wouldn’t it be prudent, to perhaps screw their refund process and initiate a charge back, if paid by card, for non-deliverance of goods, rather than piss about with faxes?

I'm currently sitting at my mum hospital bedside.

She is very ill (not Covid-19) related.

On Thursday I was taking a small break as I'd been up close to 30 hours.

I saw 3 helicopters do a touch and go training exercise.

Then the ward mums on was moved.

They have totally emptied one side of the hospital and is on standby

The military are on alert to assist the civil authority. They will be doing exercises to test their readiness to move supplies, and probably very sick people as well. Hospital wards that are not normally equipped for critical care are being prepared to become impromptu ICUs. This is all contingency planning - they will be hoping it’s not necessary to use any of it in the end, but it’s better that they’re prepared than caught out.

I will also add, though it looks frightening when a lot of military hardware suddenly starts appearing, just the time I spent around this stuff, and the people who operate it, back in my salad days as a CCF cadet, it really isn’t - these people are absolutely smegging brilliant at what they do. If it’s necessary for the military to step in they will keep things moving.

Starting to get really tired and frustrated at all the people trying to say it's a "man made virus" to control population/tackle climate change or whatever idiotic reason they can think up.
