Seems a bit quick for me.

Actually a quick Google for Haggate Lads does bring up a few tenuous links. :)

See Blyth are another club that have recently disappeared from the same area. Maybe Newcastle supporters should get round some more grounds, save a packet and have a more entertaining day...
South Shields is a guaranteed good day :)

l remember Blyth Spartans in the FA cup as they were always giant killing.

It's Blyth AFC that folded. Spartans are still going strong.

Nothing relatively new to report other than the deal has been agreed and they're working on finalisation. Arab media are reporting the takeover will be unveiled on Friday.

Latest is everything is complete following due diligence bar the following.

PL fit and proper persons test.
Payment
Transfer of ownership.

Be an ever developing story but I'd probably trust the Arab media idea that it's Friday before they announce they've bought the club.

Some changes to the laws soon,

Will be interesting to see just how some of them are policed.

A keeper must have at least part of one foot on the goal line when a penalty is taken.

And this one is going to be hard to control.

Attackers are not allowed within a metre of a wall that includes at least 3 players at free kicks.

A goal kick will be 'in play' as soon as it is kicked, it does not have to leave the area.

Load of private jets from the UAE are due into Newcastle on Friday. Further news links the club to Mourinho and Wenger if Benitez is gone.

That is the vexed question though as how changes in the law we have had before and yet many are not applied consistently.

Bin Zayed Group now undertaking fit and proper persons test.

Midhat Kidwai: "Terms have been agreed between us and Mike Ashley; these terms have been reflected in a document, signed by both parties, which has been forwarded to the Premier League." #nufc

Midhat Kidwai also says: "The so called fit-and-proper Premier League process is a standard procedure which will take time, and we are doing all we can to assist the Premier League during this process." #nufc
