After Tuesday no more channels are set to launch before Christmas. But saying that Virgin Media has launch SIX new channels an week before Christmas over the past two years - in 2011 and 2012 (And Media Boy HQ has only found out about them some days before they did launch).

That was the rationale when replacing BBC HD with BBC Two HD. We're almost at the stage where all content is HD so having only two HD channels wasn't really sustainable.

With BBC News being added to VM channel 604 does that leave 603 available for Sky News HD ?

One would think so and one would expect that channel will not be too far behind in coming to Virgin if Sky have any brains.
