Why do they do that? Especially when it was done before.

A mobility scooter, only 4mph but I feel like I'm going 80, so I'm being very wary probably walking faster to get fro a to b that is if I could stop this dreadful, uncontrolable shaking that's controlling my life. However, got a face to face appointment Tuesday with a Doctor, the 5th Doctor I have seen. By the way I spotted a puzzling entry on my medical record which says Multi Disciplinary meeting, anyone one know what this means? I have spoken to a girl who used the work at the surgery and she says she has never seen that on anyone elses record:confused::confused: Anyone any ideas?

My mum bought one and loved it as she could get about better, it had a top speed of 4mph, but she could adjust that, to match our walking pace.

From my time dealing with Clinical Negligence cases I’d agree with this - without knowing all the facts it does sound more like it means different areas of medicine rather than someone being “disciplined” in the traditional sense.

I had a Multi Disciplinary Team as my different medical conditions needed to be taken into consideration and some medications I took for one condition could have had an adverse reations on my other conditions. Such as when when I was put on a trial drug for my Autoimmune disease. Knowing that my different Consultants and Doctors were all in the loop made me feel more confident in considering my options.

I find the problem to be the "feet" that sit on the bowl. They used to be made of hard rubber, so didn't slip sideways very easily. I have one to replace, but as it has nylon "feet" I shall be applying a layer of silicone to their surface. That, and apply silicon oil to all the metal bits, especially the screws that hold the "feet" on.

I have ordered a lanyard thing to hang my smartphone around my neck. Our daughter bought me the phone, but is not amused that it spends 99% of its time in its original box. I need it now, to get a year's worth of free car washes via barcodes sent by email.

The Mrs is self employed making and selling Sunday dinners (and I’m the idiot who does all the deliveries - driving around with the smell of anything up to 70 Sunday roasts in my car gets me STARVING) and I went with her to the food warehouse today. As I need 200g+ of protein a day chicken is my staple diet every day so I decided to have a look what savings I could make.

Came home with a 5kg pack of chicken breasts for £27 - decent bargain.

A bunch of meds for our pooch (he’s a 14 year old Dalmatian, with a dicky heart, and who snapped a back leg cruciate ligament about five months ago).

He had his quarterly vet check-up (to check if the drugs are still helping him, no serious side-effects, check if he needs more or can reduce them), so today we paid for the vet’s fee, 3 months worth of Vetimed (for his heart), and three months worth of Gabapentin (300mg).

A 2Kg bag of strong white bread flour. After seeing that supermarket bread, even the seeded wholemeal I had been buying, is considered as ultra processed I'm returning to making my own. I have plenty of brown and wholemeal strong flour but was running out of white.

Made the first loaf on Thursday. I'd forgotten how tasty it is. :)

Problem with homemade bread, nice though it is, is that it goes stale very quickly. That ultra processing does make it last longer.
My breadmaker now is mostly used for making pizza dough, which is a very worthwhile use :)

My Mrs sells Sunday dinners and starts her weekly prep on a Thursday and now gets the meat (chicken, beef and pork) on Fridays. After Miss NTL’s competition I asked her about any deals the warehouse has going and they had a pack of 5kg of chicken (about 22 filets) for £25.

As I need around 230 to 240g of protein a day it was perfect - so I bought it. Proper restaurant quality chicken too, not pumped full of water.

I even destroyed 2 filets for lunch today

What's wrong with the 6x washing up sponges from Tesco for 75 pence?

The ones in the supermarket are plastic foam, no good at all. The pack you show is the same, but more expensive.

For cleaning the hard stuff like the inside of the glass door of the oven I use that Koh solution with their diamond sponges. Nothing else comes remotely close to how that combination works. Makes cleaning really burnt on grease etc glass oven doors really effortless and takes minutes to make like new.

There was no option to add extra RAM at purchase, so it came with a miserable 4Gb. Crucial recommended a single 32Gb in the second slot. Maybe Win11 will play nicer with all that memory.

Crucial need a slap then because you will lose out on half the bandwidth of the ram. You should have scrapped the 4GB and went with 2x16GB sticks so you run dual channel and not unbalanced

Unless it only has 1 slot and the 4GB is soldered of course

Triple channel extreme edition chip socket LGA 1366. Your miss matched sets will stop it running at triple channel but as you say it is fine

tweetiepooh 05-09-2023 09:58

Re: What have you just bought?

I was just told that each set of 3 had to match for triple channel but it would work with part sets. I am looking at getting a new PC built soonish so I keep looking around for the best bang for buck components that work together, it's what I did on the current machine. You know, that point where to get more performance costs huge amounts and spending less doesn't save much. Not precious on the CPU but I have kept with nVidia for the GPU. Everything has to work with Linux and I'd like an internal DVD drive which seems to limit case options.

I agree, I have quite a few too, they're good for putting certain lights on automatically at sunset etc. Also good for Alexa to turn on/off lights on command too. All my lights are Hue lights so have full control via Alexa, Siri, iphone, ipad and timed.

I've got a couple of the energy monitoring ones also, they're handy to just get an idea of the power consumption of whatever you plug into them, but they're not needed. Just one is enough to get the info to know how much energy is used for certain things and to change their usages accordingly if needed.

Very good price though. Good find.

I've ordered some from that link for an Xmas present. So thanks for that.

I too have a couple of energy monitoring plugs. I like Alexa routines so one command can turn on or off multiple devices in one go. Especially good first thing in the morning and last thing at night

Plugged into, then yes, no problem. Plugging a multi extension into a tapo, not so sure how much they can handle and don't see the point of that anyway.

So yes no probs if plugged into one.

A Sony UBP-X700 Blu-ray/DVD player. Our old unit was SCART only so wanted one to do HDMI into our new TV. I would have loved something a bit better but at this price a bit better seemed to cost a lot more. I would also have loved a device that played discs superbly, upscaling as needed without all the smart features. (We already have lots of smart.) but is seems that without the smart the disc playback also often suffers.

I've never even played a Blu-ray before and possibly only played 1 DVD, I'm not into collecting and just stream everything since the dawn of Napster back on the dark ages!

Xnews for me, lol.

Hearing aid supplies (Hooks and tubings - online)... Getting them from the hospital is just a complete pain in the backside and not worth the hassle.

We have a large collection of DVD's, mostly ex-rental from Blockbuster or offers at the supermarket. Very rarely paid anywhere like full price and they are ours to keep, I don't have to worry about the streamer pulling the titles. Generally they are family films that the story and production are bigger than any suspense so are fine to watch multiple times.

Just renewed mine for another two years - like most subscription services, if you wait until the last couple of days, you get the renewal at new customer price.

Pretty decent little unit and plays 4K discs as well. Got mine a few years ago so probably paid a fair bit more for it.

Having some fun with "partial subtitles". Those bits of a film not in English without an interpreter, e.g. StarWars - Jabba the Hutt scenes. To get the subtitles I have to go to the menu (Subtitle button is blocked), turn on and off English subtitles. Then I just get them where film needs them.
Else it's producing a nice picture. It's a bit unnerving the detail and colour on first viewing compared to what we had before. And this is just DVD.

Top of the range 55in QLED TV, did my research and decided I didn't want an OLED due to the hassles with screen burn, banding and 30 FPS content being far worse than on a QLED as I suffer from motion sickness in gaming as well as I never use the TV in a dark room which OLEDs are better suited to.

10 meter Led strip light off TikTok shop and a Dish drainer very cheap as a new customer. Lights come and work great Drainer is coming from the continent.

Ok TikTok shop has a lot of tat but some of the stuff looks ok.
I did find out though that you only a get a good price as a new customer. Now here is a work around for that. Just log out of TikTok clean cache then data and open tiktok again. Log in using a facebook account (if you already used this just make a dummy facebook for now) then you become a new TikTok shop customer again and get the good prices. You could by endless air fryers for a tenner each if you wanted too ( until they catch on they are all going to the same address hahaha )
Just done the above to buy a viral Spaceman projector to help me sleep same one is over twice the price on amazon.
If anything catches my eye again I will do it again

RTX 4070TI on Ebuyers Ebay page 12 months credit. Chances are it is an incorrect advert as it is down at £629 this is an £800 + card. Had to take a punt. I have messaged and added a note that if it is wrong as I suspect and a RTX 4070 standard that I want to cancel

Google luck I don't think I would have messaged them as the pic says TI as well as the text, it is more likely just a miss price.

Even the MPN number GV-N407TEAGLE OC-12GD says it's a TI.

yeah but it is all down to what they ship. As I say I put a note on saying I wanted the TI and not the standard and in message so they can not argue really. It is their fault
