Presumably it'll be moved to be alongside the BT Sport channels.

No, BT havent wholesaled the channels to Sky, however those who order it direct from BT on Sky get a log in for the BT App

When the WTA Tennis finishes, it would be interesting to see if the page updates in line with whats on BT Sport..

Whether a deal is done or not they still need to prepare and test websites, channels and online streaming pages in advance so they are ready if/when a deal is done. So no reason to take any of the tests noticed as an indication of a deal.

Didn't Bomber say a deal was already done and starting on August 1st? Didn't we have after the 1st executives from BT and Virgin say there was no deal yet?

Nuff said

They don't need to do those tests on the live network and the live website, though. They can do that on a test one.

Not saying it's 100% certain, because I've been in enough situations where people have been stupid enough to 'live test' something! But just saying.

But they have a live EPG stream, which they would have to be granted access too by BT, and they have updated the ESPN HD channel number. If they were testing before a deal was done they wouldn't be allowed to test with the BT Sport name, it would have to be under another name, otherwise, if someone spots, as seen here, it could be constituted as false advertising, and screw up any chance of a deal.

Bombers last post apparently said, "if not August 1st, then not long after"

But testing out of sight on a test network wouldn't tease customers or possibly reassure them enough that the channel is coming, which is a good way of retaining customers ready to jump ship, in a similar way to 'accidently' putting up a BT sports page on your main website....

Considering the PL starts on August 17th, ANYONE could have come up with that prediction. Bombers post was his opinion and not inside information, his other posts were worded in such a way that it was obvious this was the case. Seems obvious he just wanted peopel to think he had inside info.

The EPG may be a better indication, I don't know though.

The links for BT Sport 1 and 2 on Virgin Anywhere no longer work, now come as error!

However, ESPN still works at this time and still appears on channel 542 on their online EPG!

I wouldn't worry about Qtx's post. He's back, and as previously, just want's to put a downer on anything potentially good happening to Virgin Media. You know, leopard and spots...

It's not 100% certain, but the nature and fun of this thread is to look at little signs such as this, which may or not mean anything, as a potential pointer to coming channels. If people don't want VM to get new channels, they tend to rubbish these things.

It might be where they've agreed a deal but not to announce or sign it until the day before the premier league football starts so BT can try and get customers to move on over??

Legally is that allowable?? They don't need to announce it as it hasnt been signed but its been agreed in principle and will be signed friday for example?? So would that mean they wouldnt need to announce to markets etc??

I don't think this has happened i'm just trying to logically explain why these events may be happening etc

Or maybe they (Sky customers like Qtx) don't like to think about the fact that they're having to pay for BT Sport where we MAY get it included at no extra cost and they're having palpitations ;) lol
