Arteta deal falls through because he wants £90k a week

Arsenal should be completing the signings of the targets we were linked to yesterday.

If you leave it to the last moment then this is what you get as clubs need to be signing players earlier in the summer.

Don't see it happening. Why haven't they closed it already, there isn't long left and there are no mentions of anyone else.

Going from Nasri and Fabregas to Benayoun and Arteta is a massive step back for Arsenal. It will be interesting to see if they can make the top 4 this season.

Well Wilshere will hopefully make the step up. Pleased we have strengthened our defence and Arteta is decent. Certainly not the same as Nasri and Fabregas, worse, but then how can you replace Fabregas? I think we have more depth up front and at the back. We have a different sort of midfield.

Spurs didn't get Bolton, Bolton STILL wanted £15 million. They played their cards wrong there.

Bendtner to Sunderland on loan.

Looks like Raul Mereiles could be off to Chelsea.. news of him having sumbitted a transfer request coming out about half an hour ago so it could be a done deal.

David N'Gog to Bolton... he's a good lad, should do well for them.

and welcome back Craig Bellamy :D should never have sold him

Meireles to Chelsea is a strange one, wasn't Villas Boas happy to get rid of him at Porto?

It's a done deal. Looks like a bit of a panic buy after not getting Modric.

Arteta is a very good player, however, I'd 8 - 2 be an Arsenal fan at the moment :D

Does indeed, been rumblings of this for the past few weeks. There was talk of a wage increase clause in his contract that the new management were reluctant to honour so it's probably a good deal for all parties.

Is there any confirmation of where Crouch has ended up? Still at Spurs?
