I think the Sports and Movies in HD might start at the end of July or the start of August.

Just to let everyone know I have not been given any news on launch dates for the Sky Movies and Sky Sports HD on Virgin TV at time of posting.

I reccived one to, and pop on tv to say my card for my v+ box is on its
way. one question i have on my v hd box the card no begins with 20, if
i have got it right from what i have seen that card is ok.

The wait is nearly over...

We’ll be emailing you soon with all the details of how you can get Sky Sports and Movies in HD on Virgin TV. There's no need to call. We'll email you as soon as the launch date is confirmed.

In the meantime, you can make sure you've got all the right kit. You'll just need an HD Ready TV and one of our nifty set top boxes. You can choose a V HD or V+ HD Box. Plus, you’ll need an HDMI cable to connect it all up. That way, you can sit down to watch top movies and sport, the second they're ready to go.

Got it too, it looks like they are ready to announce them, maybe even tomorrow. Personally, I couldn't care less about Sky Movies and Sports but I'm looking forward to Sky1 HD and Five HD.

This is the second time I've received that email. So either marketing has screwed up, or the announcement is soon.

Launch Date given for FIVE HD Channel.

Radio Times is reporting that Five HD will launch on Tuesday 13 July.
