People say Wenger's a whinger, I think Ferguson's trying to outdo him!

Quote:

Ferguson added: "Keith Hackett (general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Board) has got a lot to answer for in this country. He's not doing his job properly.
"He should be assessed like everyone else is assessed. I'm assessed as a manager, the players are assessed, referees are assessed. Martin Atkinson will referee next week, no problem. But his performance today should not be accepted in our game.

But unlike Wenger 95% of the time, SAF does have a point.

The ref was a disgrace today though, how United didn't get a penalty in the first half i will never know, it seems Martin Atkinson thinks it's okay to push people over and not even make an attempt to get to the ball. Also Kuszack shouldn't have been sent off as there were two players behind him, yes it was a penalty, but it was never a red card.

Man United should definitely have had a penalty but that doesn't change the fact that some of Ferguson's comments were a disgrace, particularly "They had great confidence to hang on knowing the referee was on their side". I mean, he's essentially accusing the referee of cheating.

What a fantastic day for football fans up and down the country.

We will get a cup final without the teams who think it is their right to be in the final...... excellent.

hmmm think you are wrong there but never mind that.

lets think of all the times that SAF was "blessed" by bad refereing? I can name quite a few games where MANURE was favoured by the ref.

Middlesbrough and Cardiff today, let's hope Middlesbrough noticed what happened yesterday and take something from it and try harder than usual.

makes a change for some decisions NOT to go all in favour of Man U. I think that's SAF's problem. He's so used to being the big boy in the playground and getting his way on 99% of refereeing decisions. Maybe it will be good for him to see what it's like being on the other end of it, like most of his opponents week in week out. Let's face it, we all know what he's like when it comes to throwing toys out the pram. He only kicks up a major stink if it was detrimental to Man U's most recent loss / non-win. I never hear him champion anyone else's cause when a decision doesn't go their way. His aim, although shrouded in the veil of equality, is actually to have a little paddy coz he lost. so he didn't get a penalty shout... can anyone honestly say teams have never been denied that grace when playing AGAINST united? and did he (SAF) stand up and say "oh, that's not fair"... no.

shut up Alex - you lose.

...and every other manager does that then? Says "oh no, that's not fair" about a decision that went against their opponent?

some make more noise than others... wenger, mourinho (when at chelski), SAF... all victims of their own demise.
