Two problems with that

Dedicating air time to broadcast whole games just won't happen

Terrestrial channels won't pay the going rate even if they are prepared to do the above.

Best hopes are to get highlights packages of all sports on terrestrial tv - however they need to be on at peak viewing times to attract viewers not 11pm and later as they used to be.

Oh I don't know, Channel 5 has plenty of crap that could make way for live cricket.

As has BBC and itv, my point was that they will not dedicate enough time to show the whole match live.

At least sky are able and willing to do so.

BBC and ITV won't do that as they are far more interested in churning out reality shows right up to the watershed.

Yes, by aiming at the lowest common denominator, they seem to get maximum viewing figures. Because most able bodied intelligent people don't waste their time watching TV all day.

Those who have a brain but are stuck in for some reason (eg illness, disability, caring, etc) are not catered for at all during the daytime by the Freeview channels.

Why is Sky Sports Racing showing channel off air on the EPG from the 4th of June?.

It's Lifetime+1 all over again...

:p: :D But seriously, if they were doing an HD swap I doubt the programme info would say that. Maybe it's just an error by the guide people?

There have been errors of different sorts for a while on the guide for this channel so obviously there is either a bug somewhere or someone ain't doing that job properly.
