No. I don't think so. Well, I've never seen any that don't. (Not that I look at every channel on the EPG :p:

Pretty sure BBC, ITV channels don't publish 2 weeks on the EPG

Yes, but think of those poor unfortunates who have satellite or terrestrial.

A pay TV provider is no longer needed for 4OD , I have access on my Blu Ray player , two games consoles , iPad , iPhone , computer. Catch up TV is no longer the seller it was. I'm pretty sure at some point all the terrestrial catchup services will be on satellite , Sky are adding BBC iplayer and ITV player this year until then I'll have to settle for one of my many other devices to watch it on ;)

Wrong. Check your Tivo on a Sunday/Monday. That's when the update happens for the main channels.

Yes YOU do, but millions don't. I don't think this channel is aimed at you.

But only available to boxes that have an internet connection. Most don't.

I'm pretty sure the majority have access to 4OD , however I will concede maybe not all on their TV.

Fair point , I believe the figure is around 4.3 million HD Boxes.

I think the point being made is that although these 4.3m boxes are connectable to the internet not many of them will be, hence no VoD for all. The beauty about cable is that one wire into the house can feed multiple tuners on multiple boxes and also provide a return path and VoD to all boxes (HD or not) whereas Sky boxes require a different cable for each one of these connections.

Finally confirmation that a new channel is coming soon to Virgin Media:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012...ly?INTCMP=SRCH

"Heat TV, which will broadcast on Sky and Virgin Media, will feature "Heat's huge news", celebrity guests and "takeovers" of its playlist."

Heat owners Bauer Media part own 4Misic, The Box, Kiss, Magic, Kerrang and Q - All moving packages on June 1st on Virgin TV.

Channel 4 own the other half.

The link says one of them will close to make way for Heat TV to launch - My money is on The Box to be axe - The Box is only brand that is only on TV.

Since I posted the link the article seems to have changed. I didn't notice the launch date of 03rd July when I read it earlier.

The Box used to be "cutting edge" about 15 years ago. It's had it's day.

Brand Republic: Bauer axes Q TV after nearly 12 years to make way for Heat TV.

Media web site Brand Republic is reporting that Bauer/Channel 4 (Box TV) is to axe Q TV on Virgin Channel 338 to make way for Heat TV to launch on July 3rd.

Actually the update is daily usually between 4 and 6am

Yes, there is an update every day. However, the "main five" channels only get updated on a Sunday morning.

(At least, it was like that when I had the S1 but there's no reason to think anything's changed :))

Without going into too much detail I know for sure the update is daily.

Fair enough. I know how it was done. Never said it hadn't changed ;)
