Looks like we will not get the Champions league on ESPN now for a fair while?

l am not sure Espn are going to be serious rivals to Sky as they also failed to bid for football league rights, seems to me that they will try to get sports which they don,t have to pay much for.

How you've managed to turn this in to VM's fault i'll never know

I think that there is something else going on:confused: ESPN could always be letting SKY get all of these and then go for 5 of the 6 PL bundles? Just my thoughts ( but I read too much in to things and analyse too much ).

I would say that is wrong as he has stated he has been away for PERSONAL REASONS . I for one think that is wrong and leave him alone as no-one knows fully why he has been off.

l think there is a million and one chance of Espn winning 5 of the 6 bundles.

Yes, that's exactly whats happened (obviously in a more professional manner than that). Don't forget that Sky currently also impose a interactive block on their channels on the non TiVo boxes.

I agree.

I don't really care who the major player is so long as one company has most of the packages. The way I see it is if they ever get the same amount it would be disaster and potentially very expensive for all of us.

Then again the European case could change everything anyway, who knows.
