I only have about 3 cups a year, usually it's coffee or Brandy (or both in one cup) but today is now a cup of tea day :D

A bottle of J.J. Whitley vodka, currently my 23rd different vodka in the cabinet.


Some are down to a last glass, but I cannot currently see them in any of the supermarkets.

Lime cordial is quite hard to come by in Swansea, the only place that tends to do it around here is the Co-Op and its their own brand 80p for a litre bottle.

I quite like it as it has a kick to it, nice and flavourful.

I am very lucky where I am. Within 6 miles of my house I have got every supermarket you can think of and they are all big. I have my preferred store but if one of them hasn't got what I want and it is essential, I can easily pop into Tescos/Asda/Sainsburys which are 5 mins away. I refuse to shop at Morrisons :p:

I refuse to shop at Asda cos of their American owners. I do have Iceland Food Warehouse, Co-Op, Farm Foods, B & M, Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons within a reasonable distance to me.

My Preferred store is Iceland Food Warehouse but I have to get odd bits from Farm Foods I cant get in Iceland.

I have just had a quick look and it looks like all the major supermarkets have stopped doing own brand lime cordial and only do Roses now. I knew Asda stopped quite a while ago but I didn't realise the others had as well.

I have had a look on google maps and your closest Waitrose is a good 40 mins away. If you are ever out and about (or fancy a little drive for stocking up) I strongly recommend you pop in. Their own brand lime cordial is 85p a bottle and they have got loads of other fantastic stuff as well.

I tried some oat milk (which was on offer) for the first time today and really enjoy it. It tasted just like milk left after you have eaten your cereal in the morning.

Sold to the British Issa brothers together with a US company TDR Capital.

Morrison's is also owned by a US Private equity company so Alan shouldn't be shopping there either if he doesn't care for US owners ;)

To be fair the Issa brothers are making sweeping changes at Asda and it is diverging from Wallmart big time. It is very much a different company from what it was 2 years ago.

M&S/Elgood's Brewery Platinum Jubilee ale, 5%, £3 for a 660ml bottle, a very nice golden ale, quite malty, full of flavour, fingers crossed next week they'll have loads left, half price ;)

Had a horrible cough since Saturday, streaming nose (slightly less now), and short of breath, so it's time for my Mum's hot toddy recipe - boiling water, Manuka Honey, finely sliced fresh ginger, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and my addition, a large measure of supermarket Single Malt (kept for such occasions).

0% Guiness. I usually find alcohol free beer poor/ too sweet. But this is definitely ok and tastes like the real thing. Not quite the same after effect but you can't have everything !
