Three data has been down since around 10:30pm yesterday. Ethernet tethering still works though :nutter:

:D amazing how the old tried & tested 'turn it off and on again' still works best in this age of super new technology

If that doesn't work, we're out of ideas

Maybe someone could make an app that continually scans your phone and at the first hint of anything going slightly silly would turn it off and on again.

You could make a fortune with that :D

Back on topic...:p:

Having to pee just when you're doing something you'd much rather be doing!

I can sympathise with Dumarest in #7, Technos:

“And you could not sleep?”
“No, sir.”
“Why not? Did something wake you? A noise, perhaps?”
“No, sir.” It was safe to lie. The whispering voice had been on the verge of sub-aural diminution and the officer could not know the state of his hearing ability. “I just woke and wanted to go to the toilet. That’s all, sir.”
“Why?” Dumarest made a helpless gesture. He was an ignorant worker from Loame. How was he supposed to know what the officer was getting at? “You passed three ounces of urine - hardly enough to have made your visit imperative.”

- yeah, I'd have said, "Sir, when you've got a bladder like mine, it bloody well becomes imperative!"

It started in Morrisons, now it has spread to Aldi and Lidl:

Glass/perspex doors on a lot of their refrigerated displays.

OK, it is wise to try to cut down on electricity use, but it makes shopping a pain and many have complained that they can't clearly see inside the displays due to excess reflections.

Maybe their refrigeration techs should have a chat with their lighting techs?

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

I have what is laughingly called a 'smart phone'. It's not new, every time the wife gets a new one I get the old one.

I configure them to the most basic of operations . . phone calls, texts, the occasional picture taken. Costs me bugger all but the lowest sim only deal I can find* :D

*usually Tesco about £8 a month

Train stations are a busy place but why do people need to walk side-by-side, random people too blocking the whole pathway. MOVE!

Re: Moans and Pet Hates

Just say excuse me and ask them to move so you can get by.
