It we had the money by all means give it to to all but we dont as a result of the last 14 years. Where else to get the money from? The NHS? education?

I was talking about your reference to private schools, not the fuel allowance.

Its not "more than tripled", nor did he work for them at the end of the year.
The claim was false, and the supposed defence of it incorrect as well, as is yours.

Any impact will tend to carry on afterwards. I doubt he remembered the share price for each and every day, and so could possibly have remembered the share price from later that year. The figures in the post state 2.97 times, so that is not far off 3 times. The article doesn't say "more than".

“During my time in charge, the company grew strongly, the share price tripled and it was the top-performing property investment share on the London Stock Exchange.”
Still nowhere near comparable to Reeves, Rayner, and Starmer, amongst others. Eg 10 is nowhere near 5 and a half or four and a half. Clothes are not miscellaneous office supplies.

If you claim to have tripled a price then the very least you do is check first, not rely on memory. The defender checked, and still got it wrong.

You're right, it doesnt say "more than", my mistake.
However, thats beside the point - 2.97 is not 3.00 which was the claim. Almost tripled would have been correct.

Again, not the point. I never said they were comparable (nor do I think they are).

The post by Russ made the direct comparison. It was given as a comparable situation.

How is that relevant to the accuracy of the claim ?
It was incorrect, twice. I dont really know why you keep trying to argue otherwise.
I presume the fact you have tried to redirect the subject means you now concede it was inaccurate.

The twelve lies of reevesmas

Reeves has “misspoke”[lied] about everything from her tax plans to her days as a dazzling child chess prodigy, and they’re unravelling, one by one. So here goes.

Think he's just reminding people of the bs we all had to endure for 14 years ;)

Now it's the other side doing it (to a far, far lesser degree) of course it's different and it's like those 14 years never happened.
