Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
The box is the still the same, each engineer has said different stories each visit. What is so annoying is that to me each engineer that has come has blamed each other, but not fixed the problem.
Complaing about how many jobs they have per day, one engineer said that he has thirty calls, it makes you wonder how many problems they have. Strange thing is, l spoke with an engineer working on a main cable box, and he told me that VM don't have any repair engineers, they are all installers and that the 'network' engineers are responsible for installing, and repairs. If the TiVo goes wrong again, it will go through the nearest window. |
Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
It's good to see that you are your usual irascible self Arthur. For the benefit of your blood pressure (and the rest of fellow CF members) have you tried emailing the CEO's office? If you are so unhappy with the service that you are, or are not, receiving then take it up with them. My apologies in advance if seem to be a touch blunt, however you are more than a little in the same vein.

^ That too. But I was also insist that they try changing the box first. Not sure why they haven't tried that yet

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Hi Jempalmer, My personnel view is if you are paying for a service, then you should get it if you have a problem then it should be sorted.
If you have a problem on your car, you take it to a garage don't you. I have had FIVE engineers out to fix the same fault, customer services phoned today, and the latest is that our box could be too far away from the main box - yet we have had cable for a long time. Also TWO engineers have said we have OLD cable, but no one has changed it, and yes l have sent an email to the CEO and they have tried to help, but you won't get them coming out will you, On Monday they have told me a senior manager will call us. I spoke with a VM Network Engineer on Friday, and he told me that it could be that the TiVo needs a stronger cable, and if my existing cable was fitted more than five years ago, then it won't be suitable for a TiVo box and needs a new one - its a different power cable, and old cable has a different power source to the ones fitted today - any clues And this has happened to my mother - in - law, and she has had a booster box fitted. |
