Our Christmas dinner in about a hour and a half is Goose breast fillets , roast potatoes in goose fat . Sprouts with chorizo and dates and spice , swede , carrots and a deep rich gravy.

Still doing the prep. Just made the stuffing from scratch, cooked cheffy style as discs. Turkey breast roast, brussels with chestnuts, carrots with cumin, special pigs in blankets, taters, parsnips, gravy etc. Dinner at 2:30 to 3 ish.

Nothing wrong with beans on toast as when l was unwell l could not tolerate nothing much more then the trusty old fish finger sandwich.

Just finish homemade potato & cheese cakes.

Mash some spuds, add enough flour to bind (but not too much to turn onto a dough), add cheese.

Make into small patties and fry, you can use a pan that bacon has been cooked it.

When Golden brown eat. :D

My youngest son's friend from England thinks it's hysterical when she is here staying with her grandparents for the summer holidays and I ask them if they would like a piece, when she was younger she asked what a piece was and when I told her she said Oh you mean a sandwich :)

Not to good tbh nash but getting there thank you, I just wish I could get the sickness under control but the trouble with the meds is that they make me very drowsy and that is no good when you have a young one who needs driven to school.

EatLeeds restaurant week at a lot of restaurants in Leeds.

Tonight we went to Cau (an Argentinian Steak restaurant in the Victoria Gate, opposite John Lewis), and had Salt and Onion Flatbreads, Rump Steak with chips, and caramel crepe with vanilla ice cream, with a glass of prosecco, for £15 per head - bargain!

And excellent quality, too.
