I can't see any reference to it here https://www.virginmedia.com/tv

The text about Watchlists seems to suggest only Stream boxes are being supplied to new customers now.

VM have stopped supplying the mini boxes for multiroom (unless you already have one). Additional boxes are all now Stream boxes.

It also looks like with all the confusion caused by TV offerings differing in legacy & full fibre areas, the references to specific boxes have been removed from the main website.

I think you can get more modern recorders than VHS.

I dont know if they can record any input, they generally state Freeview.

Can't be bothered to get old rugby tapes copied, not sure it would even be legal, in fact I doubt it is.

Seen a report that the replacement local channel for London has reverted to 4:3 on satellite!! Is this the same on Virgin (for anyone who can get it)?

It is 16:9 on satellite - a lot of True programmes are 4:3

So will TNT put all their sports behind the higher pay wall? Or will there be two levels as at present for those wanting cycling and snooker etc

WBD will probably go for the former meaning many lose out.

Are no longer able to subscribe to Discovery+ standard from today

Whether they occasionally offer select content for free on Discovery+ and it's replacement MAX is anyone guess.

They made the Olympics last year available for free on Max basic and Standard tiers in Europe so I wouldn't rule out that happening here with Winter Olympics.

AIUI the Eurosport channels will close and the content will move to TNT Sports, meaning that those in the basic channel packages will lose access unless they begin to take TNT Sports.

Maybe this is why Virgin removed it from being added at no extra cost from the top basic packages?

Does this mean the number of TNT sport channels will increase from 4 to 6?

TimeLord2018 28-01-2025 16:42

Re: Virgin TV (2025)

No, just the 4 TNT Sports channels.
