However, Murray has been shut down in his argument by talkRADIO presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer.

She tweeted: "What an extraordinary - and factually wrong - tweet from Andy Murray.

"Nigel Farage simply campaigned for control of our borders - and the majority of voters agree with him.

"Stick to the tennis, mate."

Murray tweeted: "Please record the awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported."

Djokovic family end press conference after Covid event question

Earlier, the family of men's tennis champion Novak Djokovic held a press conference after he won a court battle to overturn the cancellation of his Australian visa on Covid vaccination grounds.

Watch the video below for the moment they ended the press conference after being asked about the world number one testing positive for Covid on 16 December yet still attending public events in the days that followed.

Prolly translated from Gaelic. Sort of inverse double negative from Murray.

And Farage's reply... "Dear Andy, you clearly don't understand politics or the Brexit campaign but are filled with prejudice.

Concentrate on the tennis and, a word of advice, crack a smile every now and again. :) "

Andy Murray's tweet is misguided and has no correlation to what Nigel Farage campaigned on. Nigel's was about the UK border and not having a free for all open door policy and wanted and still wants curbs on undocumented migrants and illegal immigration.

Djokovic's was an issue of him being granted a visa, so was legal entry and then having it unilaterally revoked on political grounds, tinged with prejudice on medical grounds.

Pretty sure Nigel (and others) once wrote a letter to a non-U.K. politician stating he should keep out of our politics…

We could argue that if we are talking about Sovereignty, Nigel Farage, you and I share the same "Sovereign" for her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is Australia's Head of State and are part of the British Commonwealth, even though they Independently self govern, they share many British traditions and fundamentally has the Union Jack in it's flag.

The way it's going not for much longer. The one thing we had was the Royal Family and they're a shambles. Once QE2 is gone, suspect Aus will call it a day.

If that happens this country will be poorer, as the visitors will plummet.

The Royal Family bring in more money than most other events.

Your argument is tired and irrelevant, much like them, as the Palace of Versailles gets more visitors. Besides which I thought these type of decisions weren't based on being poorer but you know, on feelings
