Whilst we're at it I also don't think many of us 'expected' to win Euro 2020. Even the press today is largely focusing on the disappointment in the final but the pride in getting there. There is not the angry expectation that we should have won the entire thing.

I think it was very unfair on Saka to have to take the 5th penalty. The more senior players should have fronted up and taken one.

Racists exist on social media (and elsewhere). I dare there are racists in Wales who would abuse black players under a fake name on Twitter.

And yes the fighting and riots are a problem I don't think that's unique to England either and whilst we should ban these people and also work out how to better stop them in future, it's more a result of people getting tanked up before the game and acting like thugs. They would have started fighting if we won as well.

I perfectly accept these are problems but I don't accept they're unique to England.

Besides, I don't see why racism should be singled our for special attention. There are a wide number of disadvantaged groups who suffer from discrimination, harassment etc. Just singling one group out implies that racism is somehow worse than any other form of oppression & is in itself a form of indirect discrimination.
