Igni

It seems that there has been widespread change to the mini-slot size. My Hub 3, SH2ac & SH2 all have a mini-slot size of 2 instead of the 4.

So what's that about? It could explain the packet fragmentation that Will has mentioned.

Btw, for the Hub 3 you can extract the mini-slot size with the command (in this case modem mode):

Since the update my SHUB2ac has moved from 64 QAM on US-1 and US-4, to 64 QAM on US-1 and 16 QAM on US-2.

When it stops flip-flopping on power-up that is.

Software Version V2.01.12
Hardware Version 1.03

Taf - is your mini-slot size on upstream 4 or 2?

I appreciate that you are only on 2 upstreams but some people are reporting a change to min-slot size = 2.

Is there any way to check the min-slot size on the hitron modem ?

Is it the last number in the two lines of numbers it produces? If so, it's showing as 4 for me.

Yes - that's the mini-slot size.

I don't see how mini-slot size = 2 helps matters unless VM are able to upwardly adjust the size of what your modem can fit into two clock ticks.

Your upstream stats would be handy so we can look at the frequencies (as a matter of funky interest).
