Are you saying that Current TV On Demand content (On Demand -> More On Demand -> More Free TV -> Current TV) has been available on VM since 2007?

The Current TV channel launched on VM in January 2007 but I don't think that there was any On Demand content back then!

It was introduced before 2007;)

I'm not doubting that they'll have the capacity for 80 HD channels in another 2 years. My doubts are cast when it comes to VM closing the deal and successfully negotiate the terms in order for them to be able to carry that many HD channels. At the moment I've got 36 HD channels on my TiVo box but Sky have access to 55.

So even if VM manage to hit their 80 HD channel target I'd be willing to bet that Sky would have also expanded their HD line up to include way more than 80.

Let's face it, if they're unable to release 1 single mobile app on time, what are the chances of them being able to release another 44 HD channels in a timely manner?

That's a good point and VM have really been pushing TiVo this year which only leaves me even more dissapointed that the couldn't keep to the release schedule of the all singing & dancing iPad app! :(

i wouldnt expect sky goign much beyond 60-65 hd channels just now, astra 1n went into service oct-nov last year but it is only to provide addiotnal spot beam capicty and to allow the hsut down of astra 2d which is at the end of it life, astra 2f launches middle this year and astra 2e begining of next year once there in place you can expect sky and broadcaster to be expanding htere hd and 3d channels until then i wouldnt hold oyur breath on many sky hd channel launches virign could catch them up and then keep up with them there after if they can get the deals done quick enough when channesl are goign to launch

Aren't Sky Sports F1 HD , TCM HD , Animal Planet HD already announced.

Both companies will be keen to extend their HD offerings as the consumer seems to be demanding the superior format more and more.
