A man who fatally stabbed an intruder during an alleged burglary at his home in Greater Manchester will not be charged over the death.

Vincent Cooke, 39, stabbed Raymond Jacob, 37, during a struggle in Bramhall on 17 September.

The Crown Prosecution Service said he would face no charges having ruled that he acted in "reasonable self defence".

Hmmmm,

A 62-year-old Worcestershire man and a 24-year-old from Birmingham are due before Hereford magistrates on Monday.

The older man is accused of producing a controlled class B drug (cannabis) and possession of a firearm without a certificate.

The other man has been charged with three counts of possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, production of a class B controlled drug (cannabis), aggravated burglary of a dwelling with intent and possessing ammunition for a firearm when prohibited to do so for five years.
It gets stranger and stranger. The older guy (making an assumption it's the householder) was a shotgun license holder and had a number of legally held weapons so he must have also had other weapons to go with his 'tomato plants'

The younger one is also being charged with producing cannabis and possession of ammunition when prohibited (so not a stranger to the inside of a prison then  )

A fall out between grower and dealer?

Also are firearms holders not subject to semi-regular inspections of their homes to make sure they have sufficient security for their weapons and are agreeing with the terms of their license or is that only a Scottish thing?
