Re: Sky Anytime

I just came on to look for threads on this, as I just heard an advert on Sky 1 advertise a program as available 'On Demand' as opposed to 'on Sky Anytime' as they usually say. Perhaps a sign that it could be soon?

Well when it does go live I will be very happy to have it. My little V+ is struggling with all the HD I record, and I have deleted many a film because I have been running so low on space. (Recording Big Brother, X-crapper and coach trip in HD for the mrs.) I will be getting Tivo but not until the new year due to financial restraints.

I have only read the first and last pages of this thread, but it appears that I'm the only person here with Sky+ HD.

Sky Anytime is a number of selected popular programs that are available for a limited time. You can either select to watch them whenever you want, or (and this may only apply to a Sky box), you can record them and they will be stored for a limited time on your hard drive.

It appears that most of the programs that are normally on HD channels are available in HD on Sky Anytime.

In my opinion, it is a good service, but could do with increasing the number of programs available at any one time.

Yes having a Tivo was something that l had to have as its has far more storage and many other options that their other boxes do not have.

Please read post 84.

You don't add things to the list of programs on Sky Anytime. They are popular programs that Sky select. However I don't know for sure, but the list of available programs may be longer, the more channels you subscribe to.

VMs version will not work the same as Sky's mainly due to our VOD servers being a lot better than the way Sky operate the servicer.
