As I see it, the problem is intolerence, particularly of other's views. This is sadly happening on both sides. Stonewall believe they are right to promote Homosexuality and that any attempt to "cure" it is wrong.

The Religious people (I hesitate to use the word Christian as I don't believe for a second that all Christians believe it) say that it is wrong to promote homosexuality and right to attempt to "cure" it.

The thing is, it looks like both groups are actively trying to restrict the rights of people to disagree with them. That is wrong.

People should (IMO) feel free to be what they are (within the law), without any coercion. If they are happy with themselves, whether gay or straight, good. We all deserve to be.

If they are unhappy, organisations (like Stonewall and the Church) should help them get to a situation where they are happy, but should, IMO try and avoid placing any pressure on them to be one way or the other.

I also believe Homosexuality is not something that can be cured, as it isn't actually something wrong. Saying you can cure it is like saying you can cure someone who is ginger. You can't. Being Ginger is a fact of life, as is Homosexuality.

It's also not an exclusively Christian (or indeed religious) thing..

why is it just christians being mentioned here? what about Catholics, Muslims etc they all have people who would promote this kind of thing to and would proberbly be happy to help back this app.

Why keep it your point exclusive to religion? There are plenty of rabid atheists who I am sure would back it too.

Because it's a Christian group that developed the App?

Btw: One thing that hasn't been mentioned before is that Exodus claims to be a group of 'ex-gays'. Thus, they are gay and struggling with it due to their religious beliefs. The app is (allegedly) for people in the same position. Now whether you like it or not, it does mean that there are people in this position, and as such the app could be said to cater to them rather than just being an attempt to force others to conform to their religious beliefs.

Personally, I think it's very sad if people can't align their sexual orientation with their religious beliefs (I know which one I'd shed), but at the end of the day it's their choice.

i see you still have issues relating to those who don't believe in your God , would it hurt that much to just refer to them as atheists and leave out the insult [rabid] .

I have no problem with people who don't believe, I have lots of issues with those who seek to mock the beliefs of those with faith, and knock us at any opportunity purely because we have beliefs they don't agree with. I'm sure you know such people very very well. These are the ones I consider to be 'rabid atheists'.

Although I do find it rather rich of you to ask me to lay off what you perceive to be an 'inult'.

It's not an insult but yes it's the word I'll continue to use to describe the atheists who are very anti-religion and seek to mock it wherever possible

I expect it may in some way be connected with your unqualified use of delightful terms such as 'brainwashed' and 'intolerant'. Pot, kettle and all that. ;)

I dont have a problem with people who choose to believe in a religion, my problem is with those who choose to tell people that their beliefs are absolute and are the only ones who are right and if people dont live by them they r going to hell or have to die or stuff like that.

Again, that isn't really anything to do with the Apple app.
