thats good, next step, LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS, everybody else has too dont just use disability as a meal ticket and free car..

things like benefits are always going to be under scrutiny so paying your bills with benefit money is not a good idea ?

not at all. it is common that almost all people claiming disability they have a mobility car (from what i have seen anyway) use your wage to pay bills ? i would not rely on paying my gas and electric bill with benefit money, would you ?

erm, I have five registered disabled people who work in my department, and not one of them has a mobility car - epic fail on your part.

Both my parents are registered disabled as well. Neither of them has a mobility car.

I think you also need to be on the highest rate to get a car as well.

Re: Cameron and Clegg worse than Thatcher.

I believe mobility you can either have the £50 or a car. if you have the £50 you use it to pay for transport costs.

Re: Cameron and Clegg worse than Thatcher.

I must admit, I have no idea about the mechanics of it (see what I did there?) ... but it has been a Godsend for her. She has very bad arthritis which began young and has become progressively worse. A car isn't a luxury for her, it's essential.

The car is replaced every 3 years so I reckon she's had maybe 6 of them by now. She has a Toyota Yaris at the moment. The first one was a Rover Metro IIRC.

Gary, you are definitely correct on that, you either get the car or the cash but not both.
