Does the ECJ realise that they have created discrimination with this ruling .It also covers pension annuities so because of this ruling men will have to have more money in the pension pot to get the same as women out because womens life expectancy is longer

Being cynical I'd expect simply that female drivers will now pay the same as men, and no one will benefit. I suppose its *just* possible that mens may come down slightly, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts though, that the Insurers will benefit from more money coming in regardless.

I think at the moment the ruling only applies to gender discrimination but i would suspect that age and disability will follow suit as insurance companies ask the EU commision to clarify the descision

This is fantastic.....I have been worried whether insurance companies were going to have an excuse to charge people more money, and the EU hands it to them!

So glad they are working in all our interests!

Jeez why be surprised that politicians tell lies.
They say and promise what ever it takes to get elected.

After that they forget any promises until the next election because they had no opportunity to carry out said promises because they had to deal with the mess the last government left first and now there is no time left to carry out the promises they made during the election..;)
