Enough.....ALL of you.....

If anybody is finding it hard to play nicely in this sand pit then they are encouraged to move on and find a different one.

Anybody continuing to bicker is going to find themselves seriously high up on my naughty list.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

Well for those who are interested i have got the money back from my card issuer but have also recieved a call from roomsnet accounts 2 days after the money was back on my card.
Roomsnet accounts tell me that the refund will take upto 3 more weeks to go onto my card (total of 7 weeks to return the monry?) still sounds like they are trying to give me the run around. Not mentioned to them that the card issuer has issued a refund yet as the accounts people should be aware of this.
Will tell them IF another refund appears on my account but in the meantime i am intrigeud as to where this will lead with them.
As to all those complaining about this thread and i mean this in the nicest way, just don't read it. Forums are there to help people and if the cf team didn't want this on here they would have told me when i started the thread.
That being said everyone has a right to an opinion and i was merely trying to save other from what had hapened to me but was obviosly to late.

Well - again, ill say, why should we not read a topic just because somebody is whining?

Well, if your card issuer has issued a refund, it should take no more than 7 working days.

Given that you are apparently the only person that has a problem with this thread I strongly suggest you wind your kneck in and walk away from it Webcrawler. If you persist in arguing it's merits, and in doing so seeming to try and tell the Team how to do it's job, I'll take the matter out of your hands for you.

I'm guessing you're talking from the point of view of running a company that was being slated and indeed sued for money back from customers.

To be honest the more publicity bad businesses get the better, it can help others make more informed purchasing decisions.

Any company can mess up, it's how they deal with the mess up that speaks volumes. If a company is clearly poor and failing to manage their customers properly they deserve everything they get.

I've found this forum really helpful. To start with I has no idea what was going on, who to speak to etc and to see other people have had the same problem as me has helped me deal with the situation and feel less upset about the whole thing by knowing others are going through the same thing. It's not whining, merely expressing frustration.

I agree, bad companies should get bad publicity and I thank the CF team because this thread has honestly helped me and others I suspect.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

If you paid on credit card, and it was over £100 then your credit card company must refund you if you don't get the item you paid for. Less than that amount and you can fall under the radar of that bit of protection.

You might want to phone the hotel direct and find out if they can confirm the booking was valid?

Yes please Katie, do post back when you have news. This thread is rapidly becoming one of the top Google search results for roomsnet.com problems. It's useful to document as many cases as possible for people who come looking for help.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

Katie, I had the same problem as you, I paid by debit not credit so I wasn't covered like other people and couldn't just go through the claiming my money back through the bank route. I have got my money back now though thankfully and trying now to get a refund for the additional costs I incurred. I'll be interested to see if they are still taking bookings but rooms still not getting booked as they say all their accounting difficulties are now fixed. I'll look out for your reply.
