It's my second one :( Lot worse this time though - last time it was a gentle rumble, increasing in strength, then dying away. This time, really strong wobbling of the floor, pretty much instantly. Really strong shock waves - the vases in the hearth wobbled. No damage though - not that I can find.

Doubt it. Pretty unusual - we're not near any active plates. Makes you wonder what's going on :erm:

I took the oppurtunity nature gave me and told the wife "yes i am that good without touching you i made the earth move for you" as she was panicky didn't see the funny side of it women huh.

Same here in Daybrook, it moved my bed a good 2ft.

Reported to be felt in Sheffield rather badly too. Beds moved, equipment shook etc...

I slept through it, but my wife woke me up to ask me if the Earth had just moved for me !

Apparently there was an aftershock caused by thousands of women slapping their menfolk for making the 'did the earth move for you' joke.

my bro in law is living in Gainsborough so kinda worried about him...and was only there over the weekend :O |
