Re: Virgin Media News
I seen on the other web site that Current.TV, which is a UK version of the channel of the same name in the US. It was started by Al Gore as an indiependent news source for 18-35 year olds. Is coming to Virgin Media in March

Re: Virgin Media News
For all the NTL viewers who think that you will be get the extra Virgin Radio stations as of Thursday. You may not as Virgin Radio is not OWN by Virgin they are now own by SMG ( Scottish Media Group.) who also own STV ( Scottish ITV1 ).

Re: Virgin Media News
Could the new channel possibly be called 'Virgin Central?' This appeared briefly for about 24 hours on VOD and has disappeared again... I remember seeing The Office avaiable on it, but can't remember a lot else. It would make sense for them to launch with a Virgin branded channel, and an OD one would draw attention to their USP over Sky.

Re: Virgin Media News
Here's a question, I have 10Mbit Broadband from NTL or VirginMedia as they are now, and looking at the new swishy website im noticing that all the listings for availability of services are now in "packages" does this mean that you can no longer take a single service from virginmedia i.e. telephone, or TV or broadband on its own ?

Virgin Central - which Virgin Media has said will be available on a free basis - will showcase content available on video on demand, which Virgin plans to beef up with major US acquisitions including Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck and the CSI franchises. By using the channel's interactive interface viewers will then be able to watch any episode of their desired series with full VOD capabilities. The new channel will be designed to make accessing on-demand content "more exciting and intuitive than ever before," the company said today. President and CEO Steve Burch said: "Virgin Central will offer a feast of hit shows in one place and is set to become the destination of choice for TV lovers. By combining brilliant content with the unrivalled versatility of our technology, we have created something that no other company provides. Virgin Central will make TV-on-demand the simple, compelling service it should be." Virgin Central will launch on February 20. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/digitalt...d-channel.html |
