Hi All,
after having put up with download on 10MB no better than 2MB I have downgraded to 2MB. I'm not one who moans for the sake of moaning but I have been paying for 10MB and get no better than 2 so might just as well pay for 2.
I was surprised that the speed at 2 is rock steady. You pay for 2 you get 2. The times I've heard that it is up to 10MB. If I got 6 or 8 it would be acceptable but I was getting less than 2 at times. This has been for months.I'll go back to 10 when they can supply it.
Things will certainly have to change in a big way.
George.

Phone NTL tell them you want 10MB and they will give you an NTL 250 modem, how is that trapped?

i didnt think there a charge incurred when your current ntl supplied hardware can not deliver the speed you are subscribed too ?

there is no charge as far as I'm aware of - you just ring up and ask to have a cable modem.
