Re: Battlestar Galactica

Thats not the same thing - at least i dont think so - Baltars companion seems to appear and dissapear - almost like she/its a part of his mind and she cannot be seen by anyone apart from baltar.

With Boomer her companions are shown as seperate entities in that they appear to exist in the real world - like all the other human like cylons we have seen until now and they appear to be visible to anyone - although that is an assumption as no other human other than helo has directly looked at them or in their direction AFAIK (or remember). ;)

Even though Baltars companion looks like one of boomers companions - i get the feeling they are very different people and not the same person.

The only thing that makes me question this is that i did think a couple of episodes back when Helo had to make a decision to rescue boomer or leave her that when the 3 of them were on the rooftop talking about what "they" though he might do (as he was deciding what to do) why it was he could'nt see them on the rooftop talking away about him. But as Boomer was with them - how is it that he could'nt see her????

Unless they can make themselves invisible??

Does that make any sense??? Seemed to confuse me more just thinking about it. :D

Yet she still has a physical presence because she can move things around.

Well we saw them stroll into an underground garage full of Cylon Warriors who seemed to a) take notice of them and b) take orders from them, so perhaps it's just other Cylons who can see her/ them.

Although then when we had the "Baltar is a traitor" episode, where did that version come from and why could people see her and where did she go when she "just disappeared" after walking around a corner?

Or, at least, she behaves differently. Maybe Baltar's one is putting on a very good act.

I don't know, it's either going to be a hell of an explanation or a hell of a cop-out!

Confused? You will be...! ;)

Re: Battlestar Galactica

Its pretty simple really. There are lots of copies of each Cylon. The one that Balter sees is a hulucination. She told him that she put a chip into his head so that he could see her. When she moves things about it is not in the literal sense... its all in his mind.

He could not see the Cylons on the roof as he did not look up....he was busy running about :) (and it makes the story a bit more spooky)

After seeing the last episode I am beggining to think that Baltar is not a CYlon again...they just need him as part of their "plan"

Re: Battlestar Galactica

Hmmm... OK - from the last two posts i would say Graham has a very good point about the "real" copy of six in "Baltar is a Traitor" just dissapearing as she went round the corner, and that perhaps it is a bloody good plot point i have overlooked.

But aliferste says that six said she put a chip in Baltars head - i cant remember her saying that personally (dont doubt you tho mate) - but even so she could be telling him that as he would probably rationalise it as the truth.

Im leaning towards the invisible Cylon now.... Scary...

Yeah she did say that 'maybe it's becasue I put a chip in your head while you were sleeping' or words similar to that.

Ah now - if what you say is true dilligaf1701, and it was words to that effect then i very much doubt that there is actually a chip in there. (Was this before the initial Cylon attack or after?)

As for the invisible Cylon - hey - its just a guess.... ;) - You do better :D

Too damned confusing for me! I hate being left guessing because it is just a ploy to make you watch further. However when the inevitable hurried closure of the series occurs you are left hanging because no one has actually thought the stupid plotline all the way through from the beginning because they think they have time to resolve it before the final episode but of course the series won't be allowed to unfold as the writers planned because the men in suits will decide the series isn't having the impact they thought it would and cancel it.

This has happened with practically every SF series that actually DOES have a preplanned plot.B5,Deep Space 9,Voyager,Firefly,Crusader.Bet it happens with The Enterprise too.

Or like Odyssey 5 the producers decide to move out of Sci-fi and axe the series before the end.
