This was the WC the Boss should have brought in fresh faces. Hindsight indeed but for a manager its these sorts of decisions that earn you those mega bucks!

So far, tournament not going the way I expected. I had Bosnia down as my dark horse, no sign of that so far. I had England down to beat Italy by a late goal 1-0 and had the final down as Spain v Argentina. Now the holders have gone, much more open tournament.

They must have been terrible in training if they couldn't get into that side...;) I think De Gea is injured though? I just want my lot home and injury free now. Someone's bound to get hurt in the last game though....

As a Chelsea fan you must have been pleased with your Spanish players, oh wait a minute, Fabregas didn't feature and Costa and Torres were totally useless.;)

How much have Chelsea paid for those three in total?

:D They were worse than useless mate. I won't be disagreeing with you on that! All that played were! As I said though, get them home ASAP! At least they'll not miss much of the pre-season, and you'll obviously benefit from that too. What can I really say about the money spent? Transfer fees, and wages, became obscene long before Roman turned up. And whilst I might not be happy with the way the dosh is spent, us supporters can't do anything about it can we.

The Scottish don't like to use it due to the 6th verse:

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring
May he sedition hush
And like a torrent rush
Rebellious Scots to crush
God save the King

Whilst the sixth verse is hardly ever sung, it asks God to come to the aid of Marshal George Wade, who was sent to quell rebellious Scottish highlanders in the wake of the Jacobite rising of 1715.

Don't like them, they seem to think shouty radio makes good radio, imo it doesn't. There's
two or three shows that I like on the station h&j, the sports bar and the warm up when Johnny Vaughn presents it, the rest suck quite hard.

It's the British anthem, not the English one as they don't have an anthem. Ryan Giggs refused to sing it during the Olympics due to it being hijacked by England.

NO. NEVER. I would never support a united team, anyway there are no decent Irish, Scottish or Welsh players. Only one was Giggs but he has retired now. Bale overpriced and overrated.

Riiiiiiight......

We don't have an anthem so we choose to use God Save the Queen. I fail to see the problem with that. It can be both the English one and the British one. Giggs can grow up.

Any deluded hope that any English supporter had of a miracle being delivered has left this earth and won't be coming back anytime soon.

But...at least Hodgson will stay as manager. That at least keeps all of us non-england supporters happy :D

pathetic showing from England. Rooney under Fergie would never have such a horrific scoring record for Country.

I like this Costa Rica side. They look up for it and should go through.
