Well when we play your team you might actually need 13 players.:D;)

Sorry I don't own a team, instead I just support Manchester City.. But having been born less than a mile from Maine Road that's not surprising..

I'm puzzled though as to why you need to try to put down every other team? Is that the only way you think that Liverpool will win? Mind you after a 1-1 draw with Sunderland I think you may be right..

Well perhaps you are calling the kettle black here because you seemed very quick to undermine Liverpool's performance just because Arsenal were down to 10 men.:erm:

I didn't undermine their performance at all, as I said a win is a win.. I just don't see the point in being "over the moon" when they won against 10 men.

No pots or kettles involved with that comment, apparently though a lot of insecurities in the reactions to my comments??? Thanks for proving a point ;)

Whoever wins out of City or Bolton will leapfrog Liverpool and if it's a draw then they both leapfrog you.. That doesn;t take into account a win by either ManU or Wolves

Wenger will probably blame is on Cesc or the upset concerning the possible Sami transfer.. When in actual fact it's purely the sending off of Frimpong..

I thought Liverpool were poor today. It took a sending off, own goal and an offisde goal to beat a team who have lost their captain, have a player that doesn't want to be there, a load of players out injured or suspended, and some very inexperienced players in the team. I still think theres more chance of Arsenal finishing in the top 4 than Liverpool this season.

Re: Football Season 2011/12

Poor first half in general. Liverpool picked up the pace in the second half and it paid dividends. Nobody is going to walk into the Emirates and trample over Arsenal... Wenger is a tactically shrewd operator and to suggest that they have a poor squad even without Fabregas and Song is doing them a disrespect. With 65% of the possession to Liverpool in the first 20 minutes when it was still 11 v 11 does however indicate that Arsenal were off colour today. They were still dangerous on the counter though with Nasri and Frimpong (desipite his indiscipine) inparticular causing problems.

We (Liverpool) still appear to be struggling for match fitness with the exception of perhaps Downing who always looks lively and Jose Enrique who seems to have slotted in nicely in his brief tenure up to now. Still lots of work to do for everyone and nobody should be getting ahead of themselves.

Still a bit of gelling together needed, seemed a bit out of sorts at times. Henderson in particular, but its early days and so far so good :)

What's going on with Chelsea??!!

I don't think he's got his head in the game.. I was wondering if Aguero's arrival might kick-start Tevez.. we'll have to wait and see..

As for City's game a good start but still not consistent, at least the 6 points and top of the table might boost them a bit.. Also with the new front runner it might take a few more games for them to gel together.

Scrappy first half, TBH I have never rated Welbeck, he is lightweight, has a poor first touch and gets in the way a lot of the time. He must surely come off at half time.

We're in a bad state though. Losing Nasri an Fabregas so close to the qualifier is one thing but combined with the injuries the squad going out is really weak. Only difference is the inclusion of Van Persie, really needed Wilshere to be in as well. Considering last week was so close...

I think people are overrating Udinese. Even without Nasri, Fabregas and the players out injured i think you will still be too strong for them. You'll have Song, Van Persie, Gervinho and possibly Djourou back in the team. You should at least get a draw which will be enough.

The main concern now is halt the bleeding. The Champions League game is more important than United right now, can cope with losing the United game without as much long term damage being done. Get past tomorrow, stabilise the sense of panic, then sign some players, and we can be fresh and back at it by the team the International break is over.

Rumour is Hazard is waiting to see if we qualify. If we get Hazard in there then the fans spirits will get a much needed boost!

Exaggerating things a tad there. Fabregas left for reasons we all know about. Nasri left to City for more money in the same direction Rooney was going before Man United offered him £200,000 a week.

Do you think Nasri left for more money? He will probably have a better chance of winning trophies at city. I actually thought he went about getting a move well, he never came out saying he wanted to move, was prepared to play until the end of his contract and didn't sign a new 5 year deal then request a move like some players do e.g Modric.

He was offered a better contract early last year, which he and his agent stalled on. He had other offers during the Summer, early on it was United, but at City they are more than doubling what Arsenal could offer. He clearly went for the money, not that there is anything wrong that to be honest.

As for how he handled it. He was left out of both Champions League games at his own request, it's hard to judge because there are so few leaks from Arsenal no one every knows what is actually happening.

Fabregas was also honest about his situation though. Everyone knew he was a Barcelona fan, a product of their youth system, someone whose childhood friends were at a club that is accepted as the best in the world. He never denied he would one day want to return, and he always gave his best when a deal failed to materialise as it did last season.

But if he wanted to leave then not signing a contract was the right thing to do, whether it was to do with money or not. Maybe he saw it as joining City or United would mean he would get more money and a better chance of winning something, which is fair enough. Being left out of the Champions League games was as much for his benefit as Arsenals, you would probably have got nothing for him if he had played in them.

Of course he did, he has stated to friends in France that he wanted to go to United or to Spain so the only reason he has accepted his third choice is the money, as is the case with virtually all of the Man City signings of the past few years.

When they start to win things on a regular basis which they surely will if the Arabs don't pull the plug then that might change but anyone who thinks that any player signed by City in recent times is there for the love of the club is seriously deluded. It will take many years before that will happen.

I would have agreed with you last year, but they're now in the champions league and are probably Uniteds biggest challenge for the title this season. Theres no reason why top players would not want to join them now. They certainly have a better chance of winning things than Arsenal do, thats for sure.

No l think people are overhyping the crisis at Arsenal and l think they will qualify tomorrow night but 2 or 3 strong experienced players l suspect would be welcome by Arsenal supporters before the transfer window closes.

I recently praised Man City and have enjoyed their performances thus far albeit against mid table teams. I even went as far as saying watch your back United.

I completely take that back after seeing Man Utd beat Spurs with an Awesome performance on Monday.

I expect to see Vuckic run out against Scunthorpe tomorrow night and show what he can do.

Absolute brilliant second goal by Arsenal by Walcott with Arsenal leading 2-1 now.

Yup, very impressed with Arsenal tonight, played well.

I wonder if this means that they will spend not only the £60m from the recent sales, but also the £25m from the european championship money. That could get them 3-4 good players.

Yes it has been a wonderfully courageous performance from Arsenal tonight.

City have a tough group... their other half have an easy group. Arsenal and Chelsea have tough groups. Group B, D, G, and H are tough in their own right.

Its going to be an interesting group stage :dunce:

Not drawing Barcelona, massive plus

And, I take back what I said about Arsenal needing a keeper, Szczesny was good, great save.

But they still need a couple of mid-fielders, a decent striker, and a couple of defenders...so only 5 short..maybe 6 :D

Nope, once the pots 1 & 2 were drawn City could not have been on the MU side of the board, so when drawn automatically went into a group on the other side of the board
