When someones lies, sheer defiance and ignorance has finally caught up with them and tripped them up LOL no running away from their responsibility/duty of care now, the end is near. Hopefully :)

Put my car insurance details into Google and got 5 outline quotes around £150. Even my current insurer showed up as £188 when they sent me a renewal notice for £380. That's trying it on. Think I'll phone up retentions and smack that smug looking mut hard. They can't automatically renew it as they don't have a valid card to charge it to.

Best was AA and as I'm a long term gold card member might even get a bit more off. :)

Gosh - for the first time in MANY months my right leg is out of a cast :)

It feels very odd but it's nice to see it again :)

Off to soak it in a bath for a very long time :)

It's funny you say that - the last time I had my right leg out of it's cast I broke it again the same day while getting out of the bath. This time I waiting 'till Natalie is in so she can help me get out.

Got my insurance quote the only wanted £375, for 23 years no claims.

So I phoned up and the reduced it to £260 :) so well happy.

But, why didn't I get the cheaper rate first.

Because they think that people are so dumb they won't challenge it. Always do a look on a comparison site each year at renewal time. Might be hassle for you to change insurance provider, but by changing every year you can get cheap premiums.

Agreed. Last year I found the time to check around and saved well over £100. The broker I'd been with for years offered to match the price (although not Quidco's £25 discount), but I was "somewhat miffed" that I'd been effectively overcharged for years, when I thought their role was to find me a good deal.

Pretty much the same principle for train tickets. They don't tell you about splitting the tickets, instead relying on the ignorance of people to pay the inflated prices of the ticket without splitting it.
