Their 18 Month deals will end on March 1st 2025.

TNT Sports was remove from Maxit package on September 1st 2023.

The TNT Sports codes were removed from Maxit but standalone TNT codes were then added for some Maxit customers. I guess if they keep refusing to renew their contracts they could keep it until Virgin decides to force a change.

This is an option, but the out of contract price probably costs more than the £18 extra that they want for TNT Sports as an add on.

Probably true but there are customers who just let their contract roll over every year without even thinking about negotiating a new one.

And others who don’t want equipment replaced with a supposedly better model that comes as part of renewal, or lose a service that is part of their current services that isn’t available (or is but not under same circumstances) to new customers and they wouldn’t be able to move back to.

I've asked whether a new contract with a price reduction from the listed prices was conditional on a transfer to the 360 and was told that it wasn't, but that the agent may offer this.

In some cases (as per the Virgin Media Community Forum) people have been allowed to revert back to the V6 software.

Anyone who regrets changing over could always ask and, after getting the usual 'No can do' response, point out that this request has been honoured for some customers.

In most cases a reversion is due to a customer being mislead into taking V360. If it was a customer initiated voluntary upgrade they are unlikely to succeed.

I know many on here prefer to just stick with what they have, but change is inevitable, and in this day and age, it’s happening quicker than ever before. We are all going to have to keep up.

This isn’t just happening to Virgin subscribers. EE-TV (previously BT) are having to contend with moving to Sky Glass. Sooner or later all those on the EE-TV package will have to move over, but it’s discretionary at the moment.

At some time in the not too distant future, Sky satellite subscribers will have to move over to Sky Glass as the satellites will be ditched in favour of IPTV.

Whichever system you choose, it won’t last forever.

I think you mean streaming, Sky Glass is just one option.

There is Sky Stream & Now - also, all the existing Sky Q systems will continue to work, they can still do streaming without satellites.

No we don’t. We can simply decide it’s not for us. We don’t have to accept every “advance”. I’m watching much less (it’s not the content), and I’m not going to adopt a technology for my entertainment if it doesn’t offer what I need. Most of the new tech is going backwards, removing features, flexibility and making it less easy to use whilst pretending to make it easier.

I’m more likely to ditch TV if they go the “wrong” way.
