BBC A licensing IS part of the BBC's Royal Charter.

Royal Charter is why they can’t lease space for non-BBC stuff on BBCA even though there is space I recall reading.

DBR says BBC A has only 2.2M/bs free right now.

https://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.p...live=9&lang=en

BBC B has 11.2M/bs with LEGEND Xtra testing.

https://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.p...live=9&lang=en

COM4 - has 1.2M/bs being unuse
COM5 - has 1.4M/bs being unuse
COM6 - has 1.5M/bs being unuse

Local Mux has 4.3 M/bs being unuse and that before LEGEND Xtra moves.

The reason I mentioned BBCA was because the stream for BBC Scotland Channel isn’t used elsewhere in the UK even though they reconfigured the other multiplexes when they added it for Scotland.

They may be renaming it, it’s showing some TV shows among the movies currently.

A wild stab in the dark here but maybe just a consolidation of licences. The many and varied Narrative Great! brand channels on DTT are all covered by licence DTPS100011BA/52 and GREAT! movies is a named service on that licence. I'd have to check to be sure and I'm not sure if that is possible. Ofcom don't make details of surrendered licences easily accessible to the public.

Update: Now confirmed by UKTTVC as a licence consolidation.

Although there is no way to find this on any index on the Ofcom website, the old licence page hasn't been removed. It is https://static.ofcom.org.uk/static/r...eat!movies.htm

They have indeed, although it's Must Have Ideas, so not Ideal. It looks like it could be a lot of fun if you are into buying mops and giant tubes of mould remover...

I was told by Popeye on X that Everyday TV (Who runs Freeview, Freely and Freesat) don't do updates on some days like, Bank Holidays, Easter Holidays, Christmas Holidays, Royal Weddings & Big Sports Event (like World Cup and Euro 2026)).

They don't do updates on holidays when the staff are likely to be absent. There is nobody around to pick up the pieces if something goes wrong.
I can't say I've heard of them not having updates because the staff may have kids who happen to be on holiday.
