This had already been submitted 2 weeks ago. It's not a new article as such. Just expands on what the mystery evidence submitted was. It's thought the PL already dealt with it when it was sent in.

For the first time, the buyers have issued a response claiming serious foul play by Qatar by making deliberate smear attempts. They fully expect to conclude the takeover. The statement just seems to be a strong message about near guaranteed legal action if it didn't. Failing it opens a can of worms the PL wants absolutely no involvement in. That's the mindset of the Pro takeover journalists so far.

The media response via Staveleys camp is that Saudi Arabia will bid on the next round of TV rights for the MENA Region. A direct attack on Bein and Qatar.

The only side note to add is, the Premier league can't be seen to be waiting around for evidence of something to block a takeover, if they are and it can be proven then they can be accused of deliberately facilitating a failure of the test and pursued in a court.

Clubs are still discussing the idea at a meeting on Thursday, but it is understood all have agreed in principle at this stage.

I have a horrible feeling this is Premiership football might be in the future, all broadcast live, all tied to TV schedules. It'd be the death of any other football leagues who have fixtures at the same time.

Ref didn't have his watch charged up. Easily done. I did a long walk the other day only for my fit watch to run out of battery.... So no smartie points there !

Talking of goal lines. Rewatched the 1966 WC final the other day, and England's goal was definitely over the line, so the Germans can't.complain. Shame for Sheff Utd officials don't use their eyes instead of gadgets these days.
