I think Pakistan want to win a lot more than England, they always up their game against us. We just seem happy to see them happy. Nice aren't we ? :)

This is a marathon not a sprint Mr K.;)

Yes, didn't they do well ! Couldn't imagine an England side of a few years ago getting anywhere near that total.

Given England's habit of starting slowly in test series hopefully we can improve certain things a bit more.

Should have stayed at Old Trafford, not had a drop of rain during the day since day one of the last test up here.

The way it is going there will be more hours lost to the weather then there will be of play in the match.:td:

BBC Weather's Tomasz Schafernaker: "It's not changing for the next few days. On the radar further drizzle is upstream heading straight for Southampton. The weather is stagnant and not moving - I've got no good news!

"We are going to have to wait two-three days. Cloud is one of the most difficult thing to forecast. There is a possibility it will break up but there is a risk this will continue. This air hasn't moved, the winds are light and there is even a risk of thunderstorms, but I think that is a little further north than Southampton."

The captains could do something imaginative and forfeit their second innings tomorrow, and make a game of it. But they won't... Cricket loses again.

Anderson looks knackered to me, even before play started. If he gets his 600 wickets this Test , suspect he'll be hanging up his boots after this game.

Why would he hang up his boots when he is still taking wickets?.
